St. Mary’s School has provided its students a high quality, college-preparatory experience in the best traditions of Catholic education, morality, and social service since 1865. Our faculty strives to meet the needs and interests of our students, getting to know them as individuals, and engaging them as partners in a meaningful curriculum. The faculty have received degrees and advanced degrees from some of the most highly regarded institutions in the United States and internationally. With an average class size of 18 students and a student-teacher ratio of eleven to one, teachers have the time to give each student individual attention and share their expertise. St. Mary’s teachers are talented and caring professionals who act as positive role models and help prepare students for the rigors of college and the demands of a world they will soon enter as adults.
"Mr. Hunter's art history class directed me to all the things in the world I wanted to see. I realized when you travel abroad you can learn things about yourself and the places you see that you would never learn otherwise."
Chris Burwell, Student University of Chicago, Class 2004
